What you made me feel

I felt,

Nothing like, a chemical reaction in my heart,
No words, could make the coldness melt.

All this while,
I survived,
On the romance of entwined words.
Words that longed to, come out,
From the pages of romance novels.
But the characters had already died.
As they suffocated,
In the boundaries of pages,
My sentiments grew duller,
As I crossed the barring stages.
Just when I thought,
These walls, that I build around myself,
Were strong enough,
Strong enough to hinder, love,
You came in with that charming smile.
The strings that were as free as air,
Were now caught !
The fear they bore,
In molding to new boundaries,
In attaching to newer ends,
Was not something as easy,
As wanting to be loved more.
As the warmth of your aura grew,
Coldness left its abode.
Every second that the adrenaline rush,
Seemed just as exciting,
I was falling into a chasmic space , I knew.
At first, I took my steps safer,
Little movements in one's and two's.
If only I knew, even the slightest of my movement
Brought me closer to you,
I would have stood still, even if those strings,
Froze to death.
But my heart,
Let me fall, and, my mind,
Couldn't control,
The long steps that I took, trying to reach the end,
Closer to you.
And that is where my system fell weak,
Because the strings attached, were now stronger,
Stronger than the fear I had carried in me forever.
And that's why I felt hollow,
As if all my heart was robbed.
When the other end let go off those strings,
That is when my world tore apart.
